Prenatal classes begin with a group discussion. This time is spent on pregnancy, childbirth, and parenting education. Everyone will have the opportunity to honor their difficulties, share their fears, and celebrate the joys of pregnancy. Through these discussions with other pregnant women, you will become more trusting in your body's ability to nurture and birth your baby, and will connect and build relationships with new friends.
The second half of the class is dedicated to yoga. Whole Birth Yoga uses adapted yoga poses to teach mindfulness, build awareness of breath and body, pain management techniques, relaxation skills, meditation, and visualization. This practice will support you during your transition to motherhood, improve your comfort during pregnancy, increase bonding with your developing baby, and prepare your body, mind, and heart for birth.
